Im Miteinander für DemokraTEA: Gemeinsames Teetrinken, Storytelling, gegenseitiges Zuhören, Knüpfen am WeltenBürgerNetz (Netz der Generationen, Religionen und Nationen), Begegnung im Miteinander in der Ausstellung DemokraTEA-Time - Demokratie braucht Empathie und Zuhören, Mitmenschlichkeit, Künstler*in Verantwortung.

Die Kunst-Ausstellung "DemokraTEA-Time: 20 Jahre Einsatz für kulturelle Vielfalt" ist vom 10. bis 31. Mai 2026 im Zukunftsraum zu sehen.

The "Oststadt-Treff" aims to bring the people of Oststadt closer together. Every Monday afternoon, there is an opportunity to meet, get to know each other, and exchange ideas in the Zukunftsraum.

The site, formerly used as a show garden and covering approximately 5,700 square meters, was made available for community gardening by the city of Karlsruhe in 2022. In addition to preserving the existing structures, the site offers numerous opportunities for horticultural use and more. A natural pond is a particular highlight.
 
In January 2024, the association "Mitmach-Garten Ostring e.V." was founded by people interested in urban gardening, biodiversity, and social interaction, and who are committed to ecological and sustainable management. Some of our members have extensive gardening knowledge, while others have less; our shared focus is on natural gardening practices.
 
Our community garden on Ostring is a vibrant place for encounters, culture, and experiencing nature, where people of all ages and backgrounds garden together, learn, and exchange ideas. Working together in the garden is what defines our association, and the willingness to participate is very important to us. We carry out activities together, such as mowing the meadows or building a comfortable seating area for shared breaks.
 
Regular meetings are held for planning and coordination. Anyone interested is warmly invited to learn more and get involved.

The "Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie (GWÖ)" is a step towards an ethical market economy whose goal is not the accumulation of financial capital, but rather a good life for all. It implements human dignity, human rights, and ecological responsibility as common good values, also within the economy. A core element of the GWÖ is the "Gemeinwohl-Bilanz", which is created using the "Gemeinwohl-Matrix". This allows companies to demonstrate their contributions to the common good.
 
The Karlsruhe regional group supports citizens, municipalities, and businesses in implementing the "Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie" in our region.

Instead of discovering the wonders of nature, Maria Hörhold, a glaciologist, Sebastian Seiffert, a professor of physical chemistry, and Nana Grüning, a molecular biologist, have become chroniclers of a world in decline. But no one is listening to them. What can they do? Instead of retreating in frustration to the ivory tower of their research, Maria, Sebastian, and Nana leave the lab and become activists, for they carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. In times of increasing climate disasters, political paralysis, and social division, the film offers an emotional approach to one of the central questions of our time: What does it mean to take responsibility?

Einmal jährlich bietet das Green Culture Festival nachhaltigkeitsbezogene Aktivitäten in Workshops, Vorträgen und Austausch-Formaten an. Es stellt damit Europas größtes Fachevent für Zukunftsfähigkeit in Kunst, Kultur, Medien und Kreativgesellschaft dar. Das Leitthema des Festivals 2026 lautet: Durchatmen. Was kommt, was bleibt, was geht? Kultur zwischen Innovation, Resilienz und Exnovation. 
 
Das KAT präsentiert erstmals "Das Amt für Lassen und Loslassen". Die Installation bietet Raum und Begleitung für den Umgang mit (drohenden) Verlusten und auch für das Loslassen von Unzeitgemäßem oder längst Überfälligem. Mehr erfahren

The initiative stems from approximately five years of science communication, research, and practical implementation at the Karlsruhe Transformation Center (KAT) and among “Scientists for Future Karlsruhe.” Through the increased use of balcony-mounted PV modules, the group aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Karlsruhe area, promote the use of renewable energy, and alleviate energy poverty. 
At the same time, balcony solar systems enable many people to participate in the energy transition. Even those who rent can actively contribute to the energy transition and lower their energy costs without significant financial resources.
To further amplify these effects, the initiative is advocating for the wider adoption of balcony solar systems. Ideas for this were already developed during an initial meeting in April 2026. They will be further refined at the next meeting. Interested parties are warmly invited to participate.
