Zeichen für die Zukunft: Ein partizipatives Kunstprojekt von Renate Helene Schweizer
Zukunftsraum, Rintheimer Straße 46, 76131 Karlsruhe
Wie kann aus einer kleinen Handlung ein großes Zeichen entstehen? Bringen Sie einen gebrauchten Teebeutel mit oder genießen Sie vor Ort eine Tasse Tee. Schreiben Sie Ihre persönliche Botschaft für eine lebenswerte Zukunft auf und gestalten Sie gemeinsam mit vielen anderen Menschen ein wachsendes Kunstwerk. So entsteht während der KLIMA.LÄND.TAGE 2026 ein sichtbares Zeichen für Verantwortung, Verbundenheit und Hoffnung. Das fertige Kunstwerk wird anschließend für einen guten Zweck versteigert – der Erlös fließt in einen Karlsruher Klimafonds.

The initiative stems from approximately five years of science communication, research, and practical implementation at the Karlsruhe Transformation Center (KAT) and among “Scientists for Future Karlsruhe.” Through the increased use of balcony-mounted PV modules, the group aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Karlsruhe area, promote the use of renewable energy, and alleviate energy poverty.
At the same time, balcony solar systems enable many people to participate in the energy transition. Even those who rent can actively contribute to the energy transition and lower their energy costs without significant financial resources.
To further amplify these effects, the initiative is advocating for the wider adoption of balcony solar systems. Interested parties are warmly invited to participate.

The intensifying climate crisis disproportionately affects the disadvantaged communities that Oikocredit has supported for 50 years. This symposium aims to explore solutions for greater climate justice. Key questions regarding climate justice, impact investing, and international climate finance will be examined through keynote presentations, discussions, and interactive, movement-based sessions.

The site, formerly used as a show garden and covering approximately 5,700 square meters, was made available for community gardening by the city of Karlsruhe in 2022. In addition to preserving the existing structures, the site offers numerous opportunities for horticultural use and more. A natural pond is a particular highlight.
In January 2024, the association "Mitmach-Garten Ostring e.V." was founded by people interested in urban gardening, biodiversity, and social interaction, and who are committed to ecological and sustainable management. Some of our members have extensive gardening knowledge, while others have less; our shared focus is on natural gardening practices.
Our community garden on Ostring is a vibrant place for encounters, culture, and experiencing nature, where people of all ages and backgrounds garden together, learn, and exchange ideas. Working together in the garden is what defines our association, and the willingness to participate is very important to us. We carry out activities together, such as mowing the meadows or building a comfortable seating area for shared breaks.
Regular meetings are held for planning and coordination. Anyone interested is warmly invited to learn more and get involved.

Wie funktioniert eigentlich der Klimawandel? Was sind seine Ursachen, was seine Folgen und was können wir tun?
Das Klima Puzzle ist ein interaktiver Workshop, der wissenschaftlich fundiertes Wissen leicht verständlich macht – und dabei auch noch Spaß bringt. Im Team lernen Sie mit 42 Spielkarten die Mechanismen des Klimawandels kennen – basierend auf den Berichten des Weltklimarats (IPCC). Gemeinsam bringen Sie die Karten in eine logische Reihenfolge von Ursache und Wirkung. Dabei entstehen spannende Diskussionen, neue Perspektiven und ganz konkrete Aha-Momente.
Der Workshop richtet sich an Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 14 Jahren – ganz ohne Vorwissen.

The "Oststadt-Treff" aims to bring the people of Oststadt closer together. Every Monday afternoon, there is an opportunity to meet, get to know each other, and exchange ideas in the Zukunftsraum.

The site, formerly used as a show garden and covering approximately 5,700 square meters, was made available for community gardening by the city of Karlsruhe in 2022. In addition to preserving the existing structures, the site offers numerous opportunities for horticultural use and more. A natural pond is a particular highlight.
In January 2024, the association "Mitmach-Garten Ostring e.V." was founded by people interested in urban gardening, biodiversity, and social interaction, and who are committed to ecological and sustainable management. Some of our members have extensive gardening knowledge, while others have less; our shared focus is on natural gardening practices.
Our community garden on Ostring is a vibrant place for encounters, culture, and experiencing nature, where people of all ages and backgrounds garden together, learn, and exchange ideas. Working together in the garden is what defines our association, and the willingness to participate is very important to us. We carry out activities together, such as mowing the meadows or building a comfortable seating area for shared breaks.
Regular meetings are held for planning and coordination. Anyone interested is warmly invited to learn more and get involved.
